About Us

Armida was born in 1909 near Lowellville, Ohio, a little town of Italian immigrants. Growing up in an Italian family, she loved to cook and loved to try new things. Her love and talent for cooking and creating new and delicious foods served as an inspiration to her children. So much so that in 1975, two of her children, Gene and Richard Primavera, opened their own catering company, The Georgetown, and now it continues with the next generation, Gene’s son Mark.

One day in 1978, Armida called and asked her son Richard to stop by on his way into work and try some stuffed hot peppers, but not just any stuffed hot peppers, HER Stuffed Hot Peppers. Stuffing hot peppers was nothing new, many people had their own variation, but nothing like this! They were the best thing he had ever eaten. The very next day Richard and she started making them and have been making them ever since. Richard began selling them and grew them into one of the area's most well know specialty food Items with Richard's Famous Stuffed Hungarian Peppers. Now, as we enter into our next phase and expand onward and upward, it is with great pride that we present to you, that which started out in her tiny little kitchen and has become such a huge success both as Armida’s Stuffed Hot Peppers & Armida’s Stuffed Sweet Peppers!
